Indian Fathers Plea
In this reading there is a father who is writing a letter to his 5 year old son's kindergarten teacher. This father is writing this letter to the teacher because his son is considered a slow learner compared to the rest of the children. Also as an Indian the father along with all other Indians are proud of their race, heritage, and culture but instead his son is ashamed of this. The father is asking the teacher to understand the different types of children in his classroom and to adapt to all of his students so every student can be getting the same education. This is extremely important in any classroom as we have seen previously in many other readings during the course of this class.
