Prompt #1
The neighborhood I am volunteering in is a busy neighborhood because there is a lot of traffic. The school is directly near a five way intersection in the middle of Providence. The school building looks like it has been there for too many years, inside the building there was some ceiling damage. But overall the building was large enough and equipped to have all students feel comfortable there. I noticed that the hallways were much smaller thasn the hallways i had when i was in elementary school but besides that everything seemed to be perfectly normal. Also there was enough space for kids in all classrooms, except there was one class that always met in the cafeteria (not quite sure what class). This school values the children listening to the adults. The teachers i was volunteering to help, her main focus was top teach the kids how to listen and follow directions. That is what they had rouble with, it was not even the school work that was difficult for them.

According to our syllabus, this prompt must address the demographics of your school which you can research on infoworks.uri.edu. It needs to be competed early in the semester so that you have knowledge about where you school fit5s within the district and how it fares in terms of YR. Unfortunately, I just read it and could not comment on it earlier! It is too bad that you waited so late to complete the blog assignment so that neither nor most of your peers could comment on any of it!
